
About the Owner
Robert A. Seeley brings to his work with
      givewings.com a ten-year experience in publications work, desktop publishing,
      and Macintosh hardware and software. Following graduation with a B.A. in
      philosophy at Earlham College, Richmond, Ind., he performed two years of
      community service with the American Friends Service Committee in Sumter,
      SC. He then joined the staff of the Central Committee for Conscientious
      Objectors, a small non-profit group in Philadelphia. From 1984-1994, he
      was responsible for all publications and newsletters published by the organization,
      including three books, approximately 25 pamphlets, and a quarterly newsletter.
      He began Desktop Resources in April, 1995, along with the Resources for
        Peace page. He combined these two pages with the bookstore (now closed) and Discover
        Germantown in 2003 to form givewings.com. 
        
  Robert Seeley has published four books and numerous articles on peace and conscience
  issues. His work includes the Handbook for Conscientious Objectors (13th
  Edition, CCCO, 1982), which he wrote, edited, and designed; Advice forConscientious
  Objectors in the Armed Forces (CCCO, 1984); The Handbook of Non-Violence (Lawrence
  Hill, 1986); and Choosing Peace: A Handbook on War, Peace, and Your Conscience (CCCO,
  1994), which he wrote, edited, and designed.
    
  Robert Seeley's travels include England, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the Soviet
  Union, and most of the Southern United States. He is married to the former
  Ruth Ward, a native of Barrow-in-Furness, England. They have a daughter, Laura,
  who  graduated from Swarthmore College in 2001.
